Medical Center Enterprise is a a 131-bed facility offering obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, cardiology, urology, family medicine, general surgery and a range of medical specialties.
The project consisted of a full building envelope assessment for the primary hospital structure as well as the women’s center, medical office building and pedway. Repairs were needed due to masonry settlement, weathering and thinning of existing exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS) facades. Dry rotted and deteriorated fenestration gaskets were identified and solutions were detailed. EIFS areas that displayed continuous degradation were repaired, and additional wall protection was detailed and installed. Persistent roof leaks were investigated, the causes were identified, and new flashing / detailing was developed to remedy the issues.
