CMTA Engineering Consultants is a national consulting firm headquartered in Louisville, Ky. CMTA works with hundreds of architecture firms across the US but chose LMH Architecture for the design of their corporate headquarters.
The Louisville Office for CMTA Engineering Consultants is a 20,000 SF new office building located in the Norton Commons development on the east side of Louisville.
Tim R. Winters, a local residential architect, aided the design by tailoring the building exterior to the Norton Commons aesthetic context. The interior provides private offices, conference rooms, and common areas on the first floor, while the second floor uses an open office plan concept.
The design is Energy Conscious with a geothermal mechanical system, TPO roof, photovoltaic energy collection panels, and a lighting system that automatically adjusts to the amount of natural light in the space. The design has received a LEED Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
