Forrest City Medical Center
Emergency Department Expansion and Renovation
Forrest City, Arkansas
The 9,000 SF total project consisted of an expanded emergency department designed for the Forrest City Medical Center.
The project was phased so the existing ER was in continuous operation until the new ER was opened. The expansion included private exam rooms, advanced treatment rooms, waiting and registration space, a centrally located nurse station flanked by the necessary support spaces, and a new heli-pad for sending and receiving patients by air.
The Radiology Department expanded into a portion of the old emergency department. A new MRI and a CT scanner with a central, shared control space was designed as part of the renovated area.
